South Yorkshire and Humber Building Excellence Awards 2011 announced
Building projects from all over the region are invited to compete for the Annual Building Excellence Awards, which recognise building quality and standards through the whole design and build process.
Barnsley Council, along with other South Yorkshire and Humber local authorities, has announced that the fourth annual Building Excellence awards will take place on Thursday, 14 April 2011 at Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort near Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire.
They are seeking projects to go head to head in categories such as sustainability, commercial projects and domestic extensions, in a bid to receive recognition and honour for their high quality workmanship, excellence in design and construction and customer satisfaction.
Builders and developers who will or have completed building projects in 2010 in Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, North Lincolnshire, Hull, or Barnsley, where the local council has provided the building control service, are all eligible to take part in this greatly respected and prestigious competition.
Barnsley Council’s Building Control Manager, Tim Cliffe, said: “We are extremely excited about our fourth awards event and the finals evening and we hope this will be the best yet. The Building Excellence awards were so well received and attended last year that we are expecting a lot of interest.”
