This excellent £15.3 million full re-furbishment of the Grade II listed Crucible Theatre included fitting a new brass (not glass) roof, reinforcing foundations, new exterior cladding, and an entire new backstage area. Energy efficient glazing was installed throughout and a curved access ramp added to the otherwise angular building. |

Doncaster & Bassetlaw NHS Foundation Trust
This is a long-standing partnership between the trust and Doncaster Building Control, which has been in place for over 11 years. This recent project involved resolving the split site when dealing with both children and neonates, responding to feedback from the service users, and to designing an environment to promote a feeling of wellbeing. The team had a number of limitations including the design needed to be incorporated within an existing building and within time constraints given. |
